Townsvillain: From The Town

Initially, Townsvillain was a concept to represent people from Townsville in whatever they are striving for. Sport, academia, arts, defense, business and charity. Supporting locals and raising awareness of this place will in turn support the entire community. This is still the main vision. Fostering the skills of youth entrepreneurs, creative artists and athletes is a no brainer. Our future is directly correlated to the quality of youth support. 

The means of doing so would be to raise money through items designed and made in Townsville and Far North Queensland. But our vision extends to all our neglected regional towns! It is long past due to re-establish local supply chains for all industries. What we experienced during the pandemic is a taste of how global supply chains can fail resulting in empty shelves and heavily inflated prices. We believe this issue will only continue to get worse in the medium term. We will source all products from Townsville, aiming to manufacture all goods eventually from local textiles and clothing makers and manufacturers. 

A simple economic concept: the circular flow of income, shows how that money will flow to all business when growing a local economy. The result is pretty obvious. The local market will grow and become more competitive. As the local economy scales, all local industries will benefit. We aim to work with various local business to create products we have designed to compete with the best of them...globally.

We love this place to death. As an ex-pat brat who grew up overseas and has lived and worked on five different continents. We are stupidly lucky to be here and need to be reminded that. Forget the reviews by Sydneysiders and Melbournians. This place is easily one of the nicest places to live on the planet. You just need to walk outdoors!
