Townsvillain: From the Town

Townsvillain was founded on a simple idea: to represent and support the people of Townsville in whatever they pursue—be it sport, academia, the arts, defense, business, or charity. By fostering local talent and raising awareness of this incredible place, we strengthen the entire community. This vision remains at the core of everything we do.

Supporting young entrepreneurs, creative artists, and athletes isn’t just an option—it’s essential. Our future depends on the opportunities we provide today. That’s why we’re committed to helping local youth develop their skills and grow with us through Townsvillain.

This is phase 1. After a working model is established, any town Australia wide needs help and we want to assist.

Locally Made, Community Driven

Our mission is to fund these initiatives through high-quality products designed and made right here in Townsville and Far North Queensland. But our vision doesn’t stop there. We believe in revitalizing regional economies across Australia by re-establishing local supply chains.

The pandemic was a wake-up call—global supply chains failed, leading to empty shelves and skyrocketing prices. This problem isn’t going away anytime soon. The solution? Local production. Our goal is to source and manufacture all our goods in Townsville, working with local textiles, clothing makers, and manufacturers to build a truly homegrown brand.

Strengthening the Local Economy

The circular flow of income is a basic economic principle: money spent locally stays local, benefitting businesses, workers, and the entire community. As the local market grows, competition increases, industries expand, and opportunities arise. Our aim is to collaborate with businesses in Townsville to create world-class products—designed here, made here, and built to compete on a global scale.

As an ex-pat brat who grew up overseas and has lived and worked across five continents, I can say without hesitation: we are ridiculously lucky to call this place home. Don’t listen to the reviews from Sydneysiders and Melbournians—step outside and experience it for yourself. Townsville is one of the best places on the planet to live.
